IAYG World Geography Challenge
The IAYG World Geography Challenge is the IAYG’s flagship competition for students – a world-class academic competition inspiring students to explore physical and human geography, environmental issues, and geospatial studies. A uniquely community-based competition, the Challenge is conducted at both local and national levels.
Coalition for Youth Community Leadership
Through the IAYG Coalition for Youth Community Leadership (CYCLE), the IAYG, CYCLE alliance organisations, governments, and IAYG-backed organisations are empowering young people to tackle global challenges in education and sustainable development. From bringing young people into national and community service, to engaging young people in education advocacy, the Coalition is focused on one goal – mobilising young people to change the world.
The IAYG Classrooms programme connects geography and social studies classrooms, delivering regular educational materials, explorations, and activities to classrooms at no cost – furthering a vision that every classroom in the world should have access to state-of-the-art materials in geographic, global citizenship, and sustainable development education.
The IAYG Clubs Programme connects IAYG geography clubs and student groups in primary and secondary schools, while providing an innovative, tailored clubs curriculum developed by programme development teams. For students without geography & global studies classes in schools – and for those who wish to explore geography further – IAYG clubs offer access to world-class educational opportunity in this critical field.
The IAYG’s new Juvenext initiative supports and scales the world’s most innovative youth-driven community solutions that use community & global understanding to advance sustainable development: unleashing the impact of groundbreaking ideas in conservation, health, hunger, poverty, education, and other systemic challenges. For inventive community initiatives, this uniquely youth-focused programme offers the broad-based organisational support of the IAYG and its respected global partners, logistical and/or funding support, expert mentorship, and the opportunity to scale local solutions continent-wide!
