Around the world, the IAYG GeoInterns programme connects university students and young geographers to valuable paid and unpaid internship opportunities. By bringing talented, engaged young leaders in geography and global studies together with employers/research institutions that value their abilities in these universally essential fields, the GeoInterns programme is paving a future for young people and advancing the field.

Students

By connecting you to a valuable internship, the IAYG GeoInterns programme allows you to use your abilities in geospatial analysis and global understanding for an internship in your community – opening doors to future careers and research opportunities.

Individuals are eligible if they are either:

– a currently-enrolled university student
– a university graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or higher who is within seven (7) years of graduation from an undergraduate or postgraduate programme

To register for the GeoInterns programme, fill out the form below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to IAYG Global Communications at contact@younggeographers.org.

Today, geographic skills are relevant to every industry – young people with an understanding of both local and global economies, skills in spatial analysis, and qualified educational backgrounds could be the key to your success! Whether you are a local business, nonprofit, government agency, research firm, university department, or other institution that could benefit from qualified interns, the GeoInterns programme can connect you with highly-qualified, college-educated, motivated students with a global perspective.
